These creamy popsicles combine the sweetness of ripe bananas with the added nutritional boost of TAHA Whey Protein Powder, making them the perfect frozen snack!
Prep time: 10 minutes
Total time: 4 hours 10 minutes
Servings: 12 popsicles
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 medium overripe bananas
- 1 scoop TAHA Whey protein powder
- ⅔ cup milk of choice
- 1 ¼ cup plain yogurt
- 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup
- ½ tsp cinnamon, optional
- 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter for taste, optional
Peanut butter shell:
- ¼ cup peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Chocolate shell:
- ½ cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
METHOD:
- Put all of the ingredients into a blender and blend. Add any of the optional ingredients to the mixture.
- Evenly pour the mixture into the popsicle molds. Tap the filled popsicle molds on the counter to remove air pockets. Insert popsicle sticks.
- Freeze the popsicles for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight.
- After the popsicles are frozen and you’re ready to make the shells, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the peanut butter and the coconut oil in 20-second intervals until completely smooth. Do the same with the chocolate and the coconut oil for the chocolate shell in a separate bowl.
- Remove the popsicles from the freezer and quickly dip the popsicles into the shell mixture and cover with the decorative chocolate chips or the crushed peanuts.
- We like to use the opposite shell flavor to drizzle over the popsicle - for example, if we dip the popsicle in chocolate, we drizzle with peanut butter!
- Set the popsicles on a parchment-lined baking tray and freeze for another 30 minutes.
- Your popsicles are ready - enjoy!!
NOTES:
- Popsicles are good for up to two months in the freezer, either in their mold or an airtight container.
