Whey protein concentrate
What is it?
Whey protein concentrate (WPC) is a popular dietary supplement derived from whey, the liquid byproduct of cheese production. It is created by drying and processing whey to concentrate the protein content.
Why do we use it?
We use grass-fed whey protein concentrate for its protein content; our WPC typically contains up to 80% protein by weight, and contains all essential amino acids. WPC contains more lactose than other forms of whey protein, such as isolate, and tends to keep you feeling fuller for longer. Due to less filtration, it has a lower price point, which makes it more accessible to some of our customers.

What is it?
Whey protein isolate (WPI) is a highly refined form of whey protein derived from the liquid byproduct of cheese production. It undergoes additional processing to remove a significant portion of the fat and lactose, resulting in a product with a higher protein content.
Why we use it?
We use grass-fed whey protein isolate for its high protein content; typically WPI contains 90% or more protein by weight, making it one of the purest forms of protein available. It is also high in all essential amino acids. It has lower levels of lactose and fat, making it a possible option for lactose-intolerant individuals and those seeking to minimize fat intake.

What is it?
Bovine colostrum is the first form of milk produced by cows immediately following the birth of a calf; in New Zealand, the process of colostrum production is heavily regulated, insuring that calves receive the recommended dose of colostrum before the excess colostrum is collected. This nutrient-dense fluid is specifically designed to support the calf’s early growth and immune development. It is also harvested and processed for human consumption due to its rich composition of bioactive compounds.
Why is it used?
Colostrum Powder is a nutritionally rich food. Colostrum features immune protection and gut health factors including Immunoglobulins (antibodies) and Lactoferrin, plus naturally occurring vitamins and minerals. It also contains naturally occurring growth factors, enzymes and antibodies that support growth, repair and well-being.

What is it?
Alkalized cocoa refers to cocoa powder that has been treated with potassium carbonate. This process originated in the Netherlands. Cocoa Powder is alkalized to minimize the acid content of natural cocoa.
Why do we use it?
Alkalized cocoa powder is used so that the cocoa blends well with liquid substances such as water and milk, giving the protein powder a richer and clump-free consistency.

What is it?
Citric acid is a weak organic acid that occurs naturally in produce, such as citrus fruits.

Espresso spray dried coffee
What is it?
In the spray-drying process, liquid coffee solution is turned into tiny droplets using an atomizer. The droplets are dried in very hot air (approximately 80 to 180˚C) and evaporate, leaving behind the coffee powder.

What is it?
Guar gum, also called guaran, is a galactomannan polysaccharide extracted from guar beans.

Gum Blend
What is it?
The gum blend is used in our Mind & Body protein blend, consisting of Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum (Acacia Senegal and/or seyal), and Carrageenan (Euchema cottonii). Cellulose Gum comes from the cell walls of plants, such as wood pulp and cottonseeds. Carrageenan is made from parts of various red seaweeds in the Rhodophyceae family, and it's commonly used to thicken foods.
Why do we use it?
It is used in the Mind and Body protein blends as an emulsifier and stabilizer.

What is it?

Red beet powder
What is it?
Red beet powder is a bright pink or red product made from dried, ground beets.
Why do we use it?
TAHA uses red beet powder to add color to our berry protein powders. An added benefit of beets and beetroot powder is that they contain betalains, an antioxidant and natural pigment with anti-inflammatory properties.

What is it?
Sea salt is salt produced by evaporating ocean water or water from saltwater lakes. It is less processed than table salt and retains trace minerals.

Sunflower Lecithin
What is it?
Sunflower Lecithin is sourced from the oil-bearing sunflower kernel. Sunflower lecithin is created by dehydrating a sunflower and separating it into three parts—oil, gum and solids. The lecithin comes from the gum and is processed through a cold press system.
Why do we use it?
Sunflower lecithin is used in all TAHA protein powders; it helps stabilize the ingredients and aids in mixing the protein powders into water or milk to avoid clumps. Sunflower Lecithin is considered a healthier and less allergenic alternative to Soy Lecithin. An added benefit is that sunflower lecithin contains vitamins and minerals that bodies need such as potassium, phosphorus, and fatty acids.
