Protein Coffee Coke

A high-protein twist on a viral drink you didn’t expect to like. This Coffee Coke combines the bold flavor of espresso with the sweetness of cola, finished with a smooth layer of grass-fed whey protein for a surprisingly balanced and refreshing drink.

It’s quick to make, easy to customize, and perfect when you want something a little different — whether that’s a pre-workout boost, an afternoon pick-me-up, or just trying something new.

This isn’t our usual approach to nutrition — at TAHA, we focus on clean, simple ingredients. Drinks like this are more of a fun, occasional treat rather than an everyday staple.

With regular soda, the higher sugar content can lead to quick energy spikes, so it’s best enjoyed in moderation. If you prefer a lower sugar option, you can use a diet or zero-sugar soda — keeping in mind it’s still more about enjoying the trend than fueling with whole, natural ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

  • Ice
  • Coke (or cola of choice) 
  • 1 shot espresso or strong coffee
  • ½–1 cup (4–8 oz) water
  • 1 scoop TAHA Natural Whey Protein:
    • Concentrate — creamier, contains natural lactose
    • Isolate — 0g lactose, ideal for dairy-sensitive individuals

METHOD

  1. Fill glass with ice.
  2. Pour Coke about ¾ full.
  3. Add espresso shot.
  4. In a separate shaker, mix whey protein with water until smooth and frothy. 
  5. Slowly pour protein mix on top.
  6. Enjoy!
